Greetings,
I Just thought folks would enjoy a description of the experience a new dome owner is having in Frederick, Maryland.
"When I walk in I feel I am in a different world. Every thing I have
planted in it in the last Two months has grown beautifully. The first thing I didwas to secure the water tank I added the water plants and Koi and a pump to recycle the water so the mosquitoes would not inhabit the tank. Nick had constructed the outer Bed for me at the time of installation So I planted a few tomatoes. Egg plants and peppers in it before I left for my trip. The middle still looked like a construction zone.
On my return I finished the in side, installed a misting system and moved my tropical plants in there. I also have a Guava Tree in the middle and miniature pomegranate trees that are blooming and so are the Jasmine plants. The scent in there is intoxicating. The Tomatoes are so tall it is getting hard for me to reach the top, the egg plants are producing gourmet fruit like crazy (without bugs). We have harvested Swiss chard several times and the peppers are doing just wonderfully. I am hoping to see some zucchini and cucumbers soon.
The water tank has happy inhabitant The Koi are loving it the plants in it
are growing to be giants (I have not seen such big water hyacinths !)" |

I am seriously considering buying a Dome for my yard. I would love to see one in use. I garden all the time and am a member (past pres.) of the local garden club.
I am outside of Taneytown, MD (which is not far from Frederick, MD or Gettysburg, PA). Are there any domes within a couple of hours from me that I could possibly visit? I read info from a new dome owner in Frederick. I would love to talk gardening with a local owner.
My e-mail is: susie@heck-consulting.com
I mainly would like to see one to help me decide what size dome I will need. From reading a lot of your forums, I feel the bigger the better.
Thanks for your help.

Rodney:
Thanks for our help. I just came inside from laying out circles of hose in different sizes. (22', 26', and 33') Of course, I like the 33' size the best. I think a greenhose could never be too large.
Thanks again. I'm looking forward to talking with Simi.
